Here’s how our MURDER MYSTERY DINNER works
HOW TO PLAY:
- Come up with a team name and a team motto, and write them on the sheet inside your folder.
- There are 8 suspects — and only one of them is the murderer
(in the Death in Venice storyline there will be 10). - The suspects will be played by audience members previously chosen at random.
- Between courses, the suspects will be questioned one at a time (whoever plays the suspect will read the sheet they’ve been given and have fun acting the character. Since it’s theater, men can play women and vice versa).
- The murderer will be played by an audience member without realizing it (we will distribute the 8 suspect sheets randomly).
- To figure out who the murderer is, just listen to the 8 interrogations, reconstruct the story, and draw your conclusions.
- At the end of dinner, you will write down on your sheet the name of who you think is the murderer, along with the motive and clues that led you to your solution.
- We will award the team that identifies the murderer
(if several teams get it right, we will reward the one that got the most clues right). - We will also award the best performer among the 8 participants who take part in the interrogations.
Before dinner we will also explain how the game works out loud.
