SUMMARY OF FACTS
Mystery at the Film Festival: The Diva’s Murder
The famous Italian actress Loredana Scannata is found dead in the shower of her hotel room in Venice, right during the days of the International Film Festival. Fate seemed ready to crown her as Best Actress with the prestigious Volpi Cup for the film Death in Venice, directed by the visionary film director Stico Brass, also nominated for the Golden Lion. But, instead of glory, the night of the awards turns into a nightmare.
The murder was committed by strangulation, using one of the victim’s own nylon stockings. According to the forensic report, the crime took place at around 7:45 PM, exactly one hour before the hotel floor maid discovered the diva’s lifeless body.
The crime scene is disturbing: no fingerprints, no signs of forced entry, and the hotel room door left slightly open. But with one last desperate attempt, Loredana managed to leave a clue: on the fogged-up shower screen, she traced the letter G. An incomplete name — but enough to point to her killer.
Beneath her body, another puzzling detail: a lighter with the initials V.I. Who does it belong to? And what does that mysterious mark left by the victim really mean?
The lead inspector on the case knows the key to solving the mystery lies in the statements of one of the suspects.
